ISBE (Illinois State Board of Education)

PCCTI has gained approval for all of the courses offered by the Illinois State Board of Education. This organization consists of nine members who are appointed by the Governor with the consent of the Senate. The board sets educational policies and guidelines for all Illinois schools both public and private. The board is responsible for making sure all schools in Illinois are catering to the needs and educational demands of students, over 2 million in the state of Illinois. The board works with the General Assembly and the Governor of Illinois to make sure that high standards and goals are not only set, but met as well.
The Illinois State Board of Education is responsible for the coordination of school certification and recognition. In addition the Board makes sure that the school has an up to date license to operate. The Board also makes sure that all the faculty has the proper professional development to teach and that every faculty member has valid certifications and degrees to teach and that they do not need any renewal on these certifications or degrees.

Yet the most important role the Illinois State Board of Education plays is to make sure that the curriculum being offered is of the highest quality.

North Central Association (NCA)

Our NCA accreditation serves as evidence for the effort that PCCTI has put into the pursuit of perfection in education and student satisfaction.

NCA accreditation assures the public that the school is meeting high quality standards and implementing a school improvement plan focused on increasing student performance. In other words, it helps us increase performance for all students. A six-year study of schools actively involved in the NCA school improvement process revealed that 79% achieved verifiable gains in student achievement.

IDPH (Illinois Department of Public Health)

PCCTI has also gained approval through the Illinois Department of Public Health for CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) courses. The Illinois Department of Public Health was created in 1877 in order to regulate medical practitioners and to promote sanitation. However today, the Illinois Department of Public Health has grown to a much greater organization, it not only does restaurant inspections for sanitation purposes, but also administers vaccinations to protect children from disease, the Department ensures quality healthcare in hospitals and medical facilities, administers testing to assure safe water, foods, and drugs. The Illinois Department of Public Health also is striving to ensure quality health for everyone by doing genetic screening and creating programs of awareness. The Department of Public Health holds the highest quality standards. Henceforth, any operation that receives approval from this Department must hold those same standards.
